No one in the textile industry tests their products more stringently than we do. From using independent third-party labs, to applying rigorous, in-house testing on every batch of Norwex Microfiber, we ensure our products meet or exceed our exacting standards and deliver exceptional performance.

Proving Norwex microfiber removes up to 99% of bacteria with water alone*

It’s a bold claim and one you can trust. We utilized the internationally renowned German testing lab, Weber Leucht for independent testing of Norwex Microfiber. Testing was conducted according to the guidelines of EN 1174-2 (Sterilization of Medical Devices/Estimation of the Population of Micro-organism on Product). Results show the percent of E. coli and S. aureus removed from a surface using our microfiber and only water.

Our exclusive baclock® micro silver agent inhibits bacterial growth within our cloth

BacLock** is a unique and valuable benefit found in many of our microfiber products. To show how much BacLock inhibits bacterial growth in our cloths, we conducted tests through Intertek, a prominent independent third-party testing lab. Our products featuring BacLock** self-purify within 24 hours. BacLock is embedded into the fibers of many of our microfiber products, rather than added in a post-treatment process, so it’s more durable and won’t wash out after a few cleanings. Creating a better mask

Our Norwex Reusable Face Mask with BacLock** is made with our revolutionary microfiber. In addition to the required Intertek testing, our masks were tested for filtration by Nelson Labs®, an industry-leading global provider of laboratory testing. Baclock reduces acne-causing bacteria

*BacLock is our exclusive antibacterial agent for self-cleansing purposes only. The agent is solely designed to inhibit bacterial odor, mold and mildew growth within the product. When wet, BacLock embedded in the cloth goes to work with self-purification properties. BacLock keeps our masks, pillowcases, sheets, cloths and towels fresher longer, helping lessen exposure to bacteria buildup. BacLock also helps prevent the regrowth of acne-causing bacteria within these products. Not meant to be an acne treatment product.

Our labs tested our Norwex Microfiber and the exclusive BacLock** micro silver antibacterial agent in our cloths to see how well they performed after the equivalent of 100 washings or about two years of proper care and use. The results? They were as effective as the day they were broughthome—the microfiber products still removed up to 99% of bacteria from surfaces using only water, and the BacLock self-purified the cloth in 24-hours.
